Teachers

We always valued and trusted those who served as administrators, led by The Principal and His Assistant (Wesley Hardy and Sam Black). We never, individually or collectively, pulled any stunts or protested anything at any time. No one was subjected to discipline of any kind, and detention was for other schools.

Of course, we also lived near the Big Rock Candy Mountain and Never-Never Land was just around the corner.

We may have lost sight of the fact that a school as good as Columbia is that good because the teachers and students are free to teach and learn in a safe and calm environment. Messers Hardy and Black did that, and did it without police guards or metal detectors. So, if our worst prank involved a mythical Senior Skip Day, what the heck?
