Being Part of CHS Class of '70

Hits

In talking to Don, I see his point. This site looks like it is about him. Let’s hope that more people will write their memories of high school and make it about all of us.

Unlike most kids in high school, I was not a cheerleader or on the drill team. Although I did try out for and loved watching the drill team work during the games. I didn’t belong to any of the many clubs nor did I participate in sports…other than being a manager of the gymnastics team.

Despite all of this, I do have fond memories of talking and laughing with friends, attending football, basketball and soccer games, going to the mall and yes attending some classes was made fun by the exceptional teachers we had. Boy, did we have good parties back then! And the sleep overs…we could talk all night about everything and nothing. Then there were the concerts…who remembers going downtown to see The Dave Clark Five, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Herman’s Hermits, The Animals, and all the others even The Beatles…sorry I missed that one!

Since the internet has brought us Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, Classmates.com and other “find your old friends” sites it has been a pleasure to catch up with “lost” friends and renew old memories.  I knew, by golly, that some good had to come of these dad blame computers other than work work work.

Don, thank you for the opportunity to share with our classmates! It is much appreciated.
