reunion_girls.pngHere are some of the personal testimonials of those who participated in our 35-year reunion. We met at the 57th Fighter Group restaurant by DeKalb-Peachtree Airport on a nice Saturday evening, ate (very!) well, danced (and danced and danced and…) to the great sounds of a great DJ, and enjoyed moments both quiet and boisterous outside under the stars. Many of us met again on Sunday afternoon, when we gathered for a family picnic at a park in Snellville. Want to remember those moments or see what you missed? Look at these photos:

“My boys and Christie have grown up hearing of some of the people who were at the reunion. Saturday night, they got to meet the stories in person. They had a great time and enjoyed themselves immensely. Tim Bullard and Vicki Underwood were the godparents of my oldest son Donnie. Donnie got to dance with his godmother Saturday night…

“Michael Thorpe and I have discussed it before. At one point, it seemed like our only meetings were at funeral homes and hospitals. We are still a young, vigorous group. There is absolutely no reason that we shouldn’t gather as a clan and celebrate life. We have branched into a variety of professions and grown many branches on our individual family trees. But all those trees in that forest share a common root—High School. That was a time of learning not only about Reading, ’Riting, & ’Rithmatic, but also about our inner selves, relationships, testing our boundaries, becoming conscious of the world, etc. And we shared our period of exploration with all the people who gathered together Saturday night: The Clan of the Eagle!

“I had a great time last night. So many new old faces. Thanks for your efforts. If you will send me the e–mail address of the others on The Committee, I will thank them too…I appreciate what [your daughter] and the boys did, too.”

“It was a great party Saturday night. Those who did not get to attend really missed a good time. The committee worked very hard to be sure everyone had a good time. Loved the location. Thanks to all who were responsible for the arrangements. It was great to see everyone there. I think we all look pretty good after 35 years! The website is great too.”
