  • AAA Roundup: Baldwin bests scrappy Shaw squad
    • Baldwin 29, Shaw 19: Rico Ford rushed for 265 yards on 21 carries and scored from 85, 80 and 3 yards. Javonte Edwards added a 2-yard touchdown run. Corico Hawkins led the defense with 11 tackles and a sack. Baldwin (12-0), ranked No. 2 in Class AAA, scored 15 points in the fourth quarter.

  • Class A Roundup: ECI rallies past Clinch
    Clinch County dominated early and led top-ranked Emanuel County Institute 14-7 at halftime. Then Super 11 running back Washaun Ealey took over.

    • Statesboro 14, North Clayton 12: On fourth-and-three at Statesboro's 12-yard line with 2:45 remaining in the third quarter, Statesboro defensive end Willie Burden sacked North Clayton's Clarence Jackson for a 3-yard loss, when a field goal would have given the Eagles the lead.

  • AAAAA roundup: Camden rallies past Northside-Warner Robins
    Kingsland — Greg Baker and Daniel Valdez scored fourth-quarter touchdowns as second-ranked Camden County came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat fifth-ranked Northside-Warner Robins 28-20.

  • No chance for North Oconee against Buford
    It doesn't seem to matter if it's a preseason scrimmage or a playoff opponent: Buford just does whatever it wants to do and there's little the opponent can do about it. The Wolves dominated from start to finish and beat North Oconee 44-7 in Friday's second round of the Class AA playoffs.

  • Grayson dominates clock, East Paulding for win
    Grayson used a long-term and short-term approach Friday night to beat East Paulding 17-7 in the second round of the Class AAAAA playoffs.

  • Woodstock nips Norcross, seals third-round bid
    Woodstock's defense played big all night, and the offense did just enough to propel the Wolverines (8-4) to a 14-10 victory at Norcross (8-4) and into the third round of the Class AAAAA state playoffs.

  • North Gwinnett lashes Lassiter late for win
    North Gwinnett quarterback Mike Tamburo threw four touchdown passes in the second half of the Bulldogs' second-round matchup with Lassiter, leading them to a 43-21 victory against the Trojans at Tom Robinson Memorial Stadium in Suwanee.

  • Hawks hold off Bobcats at home
    All-Star and captain Joe Johnson isn't the only Hawks player willing or able to take big shots with a game on the line.
