Activities Oh, We Digress The Saga of Fred Bishop

Years have gone by in our hitherto fruitless search for Our Beloved Classmate, Frederick Oscar Bishop (a.k.a. Fred O. Bishop). Through times of economic prosperity as well as recession, depression, and stagflation; while the world was absorbed in war and near-war, the Columbia High School Class of 1970 never flagged in our effort to locate and restore unto us Our Friend, Fred.

The Long Search for Fred O. Bishop

Close Calls

Oh, yes, there were some close calls. Especially in the early years, when we believed it would be easy to track our Lovable Rascal, Fred. After all, he was counted in classroom attendance reports, yes? Yes.

Our Principal, Wesley Hardy, and his Trusty Sidekick, Mr. Sam Black, swore to find Fred and return him to the bosom of his class. Sightings were variously reported of Fred—as a member of those most honorable groups, the Hall Patrol, Car Patrol, and Junior Civitan.

Perhaps the most pernicious of all were the attempts by some to impersonate Fred and attract attention to themselves. These incidents, which included inserting false portraits in Our Beloved Yearbook, The Aquila, instead succeeded only in thwarting us from our gallant effort.

Finally…

Now, after years of searching, the Truth Is Out. Watch this video and Be Astonished!
